Cuatrero has been sentenced to almost 13 years in prison following a court hearing on Tuesday, March 12.
Antonio Nieto and El Planchitas of Record Mexico have reported that Cuatrero - real name Rogelio Reyes - was sentenced to 12 years 8 months in prison on charges of attempted femicide and domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Vaquer. Reyes has already served two years in jail while the case was ongoing so his remaining time in jail will be a maximum of 10 years 8 months.
For the time being, Cuatrero will remain free on bail, according to Nieto. El Planchitas also noted that Stephanie Vaquer is planning to appeal for a longer sentence. Should Cuatrero seek for his sentence to be reduced on good behaviour, he would spend just over four years behind bars.
Cuatrero was found guilty of attempted femicide and domestic violence last week. He was arrested on those charges in March 2023.
Within her statement to the police, Stephanie Vaquer alleged that Cuatrero grabbed her by the neck and threw her against a wall during an argument. A painting fell and hit Vaquer after she landed against the wall, at which point Vaquer ran to her bedroom to call the police. Photos in the police report showed bruising around Vaquer's neck and she claimed that her trachea was almost broken.
Cuatrero fled the scene before authorities arrived, although he was later arrested following a AAA show in Aguascalientes, Mexic0. Cuatrero was incarcerated until March 2025 as the case progressed. Following his release, the luchador was blocked from wrestling, but that ban was lifted in March 2026 which led to Cuatrero wrestling for several independent promotions in Mexico.
Cuatrero is the son of Cien Caras and the luchador was a part of Nueva Generación Dinamita with his brother Sanson and cousin Forastero. He was a high-profile talent in CMLL from 2014 until 2021 and then in AAA until his arrest in 2023. Sanson and Forastero continue to perform for AAA, which is now owned by WWE and Fillip.
Stephanie Vaquer has been signed to WWE since 2024 and she is a former Women's World Champion, NXT Women's Champion, and NXT Women's North American Champion. Vaquer is currently absent from WWE TV due to injury.
