Reaction To AEW's Rebel Heart Dynamite Revealed

Amidst a very emotional week within the professional wrestling world which also saw the tragic passing of ‘The Butcher’ Andy Williams, AEW hosted a special edition of Dynamite entitled ‘Rebel Heart’. The show was dedicated to the ongoing fight against ALS, a disease suffered by former AEW wrestler Rebel (real name Tanea Brooks), whose battle has been heavily documented online. The reaction to this show has now been revealed.

According to a report from Fightful Select, those spoken to in AEW were said to be “over the moon” about the Rebel Heart episode of AEW Dynamite. It was noted that a number of Rebel’s friends said that it was exactly what she wanted, with a resounding positive reaction overall. 

Rebel appeared on the show multiple times throughout the night; appearing on a special edition of The Waiting Room with Britt Baker, coming down to the ring to hand Baker her glove in a throwback to their on-screen alliance several years back on AEW programming, and during a stirring video package centered around ALS and the need for further research and funding. It was revealed this week that many non-AEW names were backstage during this episode.
