NXT Vs. TNA Invasion Event Announced

Nearly a quarter of a century following the WWE vs. WCW Invasion PPV event in 2001, the concept and name is returning, though not in the form of a big PPV event, and instead… on the Tuesday, October 7 edition of weekly NXT. Following the recent TNA invasion of NXT after months of crossovers following the deal sparked between WWE & TNA, this show will be billed under the NXT vs. TNA: Invasion banner. 

NXT General Manager Ava announced last night at the NXT No Mercy premium live event that the Invasion show would feature two Survivor Series style five-on-five elimination tag team matches across both the men’s and women’s divisions of NXT & TNA. Also announced is a “Title vs. Title” match between NXT Tag Team Champions Darkstate and TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys. 

More matches will likely be announced over the next week and a half. It should be noted that this special NXT vs. TNA Invasion event just so happens to be going head-to-head with the Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite… we’re sure there are no coincidences here.
