Jerry Lawler is on the mend after suffering another stroke, with PWInsider reporting that Lawler was discharged from a hospital in Florida on Thursday, September 11. The WWE Hall of Famer is heading back home to Memphis, Tennessee.

TMZ Sports reported that Lawler suffered a stroke, which forced him to pull out of an appearance at the HorrorHound convention in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lawler's ex-fiancée and caregiver told TMZ he experienced a medical issue on Friday, September 5. His daughter is transporting 'The King' back to Memphis, and his caregiver said he will get back to normal after resting up for a few weeks.

Lawler previously suffered strokes in 2018 and 2023, with the 2023 incident said to be a massive stroke which affected his speech and ability to write. Lawler had been able to return to normal, though, and he was in attendance at Vince McMahon's 80th birthday party in August.

While he is no longer an active commentator within WWE, Lawler is still signed to a WWE Legends deal. He last appeared on WWE TV in February when he was at ringside for a SmackDown taping in Memphis.

Lawler has worked for WWE across several stints stretching back to 1992, and he is one-half of the legendary commentary duo during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras with Jim Ross.
